April Newsletter 2023
A message from General Manager Travis Hawley
Spring is in the air! Yay to more sunny days and less rain ahead! It's been a great joy to have these longer days and even better to have the recent sunshine here at PRSC! With all this wet weather we've had I can't wait to see our club back in full bloom. Special thanks to our team for their hard work getting the landscaping tamed and ready for Spring and Summer! I still have quite a bit of projects looming and some half completed. I hope to get these all completed in the coming weeks, mainly our tennis court lights… I have been feeling a lot of love for our team's efforts via the member surveys and I can't tell you all how much I am enjoying everyone's praises and suggestions. I try hard to make sure to respond to everyone in a timely manner with a personal message from myself. I asked for the feedback and I appreciate those who have passed along theirs.
I had an absolute blast this past March at our first Pickleball and beer tasting event. Thank you to everyone for coming out and making the day such a success! I look forward to participating in many more fun mixers in both Tennis and Pickleball. Speaking of Pickleball I'm excited to announce the addition of Chris Sickleton to the PRSC team. Chris brings a passion for north county pickleball and I'm sure he will help us grow this program alongside Sam Ashbrook! We will have interest forms at the front desk for you to leave your contact information so Chris can introduce himself and get everyone up to date with the happenings!
As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to let me know and I look forward to seeing you at the club!
-Travis Hawley
Club Hours: The club hours will remain the same overall but we do not have a need to staff both buildings all throughout operational hours and I would like to use those resources elsewhere in more needed areas. The pools and workout facilities will all still be available and as you may have noticed we have relocated the weight equipment from the clubhouse to the factory so it's all in one area and more user friendly to get the best overall workout possible. The hours of our buildings are as follows..
The Factory
Monday - Friday 5am - 9pm
Saturday 8am - 8pm
Sunday 8am - 7pm
The Clubhouse
Monday - Friday 8am - 7pm
Saturday 8am - 7pm
Sunday 8am - 7pm
April Holiday Hours
Closed For Easter, Sunday, April 9, 2023
Notes & Reminders…
- Please make sure to stop and check in at the front desk. Scan cards are available for FREE so if you would like one please ask our staff to make one for you.
- Guests under 18 need a liability waiver signed by their legal guardian. Copies can be provided at the front desk or on our website.
- Reminder children under the age of 14 need to be supervised at all times.
- Members must be here with their guests. To make sure no one is improperly using your passes please make sure you arrive at the club with your guest.
- Please drive slowly in the club and factory parking lots. We have many children around the club and want to ensure we have no accidents.
- Please be careful when opening your car doors in the parking lots. We have heard concern about peoples doors being dinged.
- Please make sure to put back your weights and wipe your equipment after use. This is just respectful to your fellow members.
- Please never leave any valuable personal belongings in your car. We have FREE day use lockers that can be locked with your own personal code. Sadly we had an incident recently and although we caught the person on video surveillance the damage was already done.

Fitness Department
Spring is in the air and with that comes thoughts of summer fun and swimsuit season. Now is the time to prioritize your health and meet your fitness goals. I'd love to help you get started or maximize your time in the gym. Working with a Personal Trainer or in a small group training class can provide you with motivation and expertise necessary to get you in shape and I would like to highlight a few additional benefits when you work with one of our Certified Personal Trainers here at Paso Robles Sports Club.
- They Get to Know YOU
Not only do they learn about your physical goals and capabilities, they also learn about your lifestyle and eating habits. This allows them to customize a fitness plan and routine that will help you reach your goals more efficiently. Working with someone who knows and cares about you can make a big difference. - They Help You Set and Achieve Your Fitness Goals
Hiring a trainer will assist you in setting realistic goals and give you personalized advice on nutrition and exercise plans tailored to your lifestyle. - They Motivate and Encourage You
A great trainer will be able to recognize when you're feeling unmotivated and can provide encouragement and advice on how to stay motivated. They'll be invested in your success and this can make a huge difference in reaching your goals. - They Keep You Accountable
Knowing you have an appointment can provide extra motivation to stay on track. - They Provide Professional Expertise
Certified fitness professionals understand how to safely perform exercises to help you reach your goals and can provide instruction on proper technique. This will prevent injuries and maximize the benefits of your workouts.
We also offer Small Group Training classes here at the Paso Robles Sports Club. In these classes you get all the above benefits plus, bonds are formed where you hold each other accountable. The workouts you may have once dreaded now become a highlight of the day where you have fun, laugh, sweat and get healthy all at the same time. These group classes are mostly by advanced reservation either by contacting the instructor or signing up online. They are listed below:
Forever Fit - Tuesdays and Thursdays [email protected]
Power Moms Bootcamp - Mondays and Wednesdays [email protected]

Swim Team
North County Aquatics is a year round swim team offered to both competitive and recreational swimmers (requirements- swimmers 5+ who can float on their back unassisted and who can swim a length of freestyle.) Our swim team focuses on teaching proper stroke techniques, strength and endurance building, and providing a fun and safe environment for your kids to learn and play. Practices take place between 3:30-6 pm (depending on age and skill level.)
For more information on our swim team please contact Karen Neil at [email protected]

After some consideration we have decided to offer pickleball as an added value to all our membership options.
