February Newsletter 2023

A message from General Manager Travis Hawley

Happy February! 2023 has gone off to a terrific start and I'm very excited to see some sunny weather again! I've been having a blast teaching the Saturday morning junior tennis clinic although I think the kids are getting better than me so I'm excited to welcome Sam Ashbrook to our team as he will be our new assistant tennis pro and pickleball pro! It's been so nice seeing members back on the tennis and pickleball courts as all that rain was making it a little depressing around here! It delayed quite a few projects although we have been hard at work making up for lost time!

Important updates: Each year we evaluate if, when and how much a dues increase might be. With all the increases in supply, utility and payroll cost increases this year we do find it necessary to increase each membership dues by 10%. The increase will take effect on the March 1st billing. We have seen much larger increases in other businesses and tried to keep it as low as possible. It is a high priority of ours to conserve and to be creative with how we can save money where we can. We have multiple projects looming as well as multiple in progress. Since day one I have been committed to improving things around the club and I appreciate everyone reaching out to recognize our team's efforts in these areas. I have received all the tennis court light bulbs and will be changing those out soon! This is going to make night play much more enjoyable! We finished the new pickleball project and the courts look amazing! I had such a great time playing with our members a few weeks ago and can't wait to get back out there soon! We have moved all the matrix machines into the factory and have painted the new Pilates Reformer studio room at the clubhouse. I attempted to trim the large palm trees and failed so I will be working on a better solution! I will not give up til they are beautiful again!! We are painting the Factory parking lot lines this weekend and we have made more progress on cleaning up some bigger landscaping projects. The mens sauna lights have been replaced and the womens lighting arrived this week! That will be done asap. As always if you notice something that needs attention please let me know.

-Travis Hawley

Club Hours Update: The club hours will remain the same overall but we do not have a need to staff both buildings all throughout operational hours and I would like to use those resources elsewhere in more needed areas. The pools and workout facilities will all still be available and as you may have noticed we have relocated the weight equipment from the clubhouse to the factory so it's all in one area and more user friendly to get the best overall workout possible. The hours of our buildings are as follows..

The Factory

Saturday 8am - 8pm
Sunday 8am - 7pm

The Clubhouse

Parent & Me Swim Class

For Children 6 months- 36 months
March 4th- April 22nd
Saturdays 11:45am-12:15pm
Our parent and me class is a fun and interactive course that teaches basic water skills(blowing bubbles, kicking, floating on the back) while helping your little one feel comfortable and safe in the water. For some new little swimmers water can be very intimidating, so having a parent or guardian in the pool with them can help them feel more at ease while providing a very special bonding experience. Contact Caitlin at [email protected] for more information or to register for this course.
